Introduction of the Strategy
Tailored Growth for Educational Professionals

We’re proud to present the „Strategy for Planning the Professional Development of Employees in Accordance with Individual Needs“, a product of the „Healthy at School“ initiative funded by the Erasmus+ programme. Developed under Work Package 3: Increasing Competitiveness and Employment in School Education, this strategy aims to create a forward-looking approach to professional growth within educational settings.
Created in partnership by the Association of Psychologists in Bulgaria (APB), WYZSZA SZKOLA BIZNESU I NAUK O ZDROWIU (WSBINOZ) in Poland, “Hristo Botev” School in Bulgaria, and IMS Private School in Cyprus, this strategy serves as a practical guide for educational organizations to enhance their staff’s skills and adaptability in a competitive, evolving landscape. Piloted by 60 educational professionals across these organizations, the strategy reflects a data-driven approach that prioritizes individual growth.
Who is this Strategy For?
This strategy benefits a wide range of educational staff, including teachers, trainers, administrative personnel, counselors, pedagogical advisers, psychologists, and other experts in educational institutions. It is designed to build capacity, adaptability, and competitive skills, tailored to the individual needs of each professional.

Beyond competencies, this resource also broadens professionals’ knowledge and multi-spectrum skills to support lifelong learning and growth.
Purpose and Tasks
The „Strategy for Planning the Professional Development of Employees in Accordance with Individual Needs“ serves a crucial purpose in enhancing educational environments. Its primary goals include:
- Empowering Career Development: To foster opportunities for professional and personal growth tailored to individual staff needs, ensuring that educators can pursue their unique career paths effectively.
- Adapting to a Dynamic Environment: To support organizations in developing strategies that enable staff to thrive in an increasingly competitive and evolving educational landscape.
- Identifying Individual Growth Needs: To provide methods for assessing personal motivations, potential deficits, and specific training needs of staff to facilitate targeted development.
- Stimulating Professional Development: To encourage continuous learning and professional growth among all employees in educational organizations.
To achieve these objectives, the project focuses on several key tasks:
- Assessment of Needs and Strengths: Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the competencies and development needs of both pedagogical and non-pedagogical staff in educational organizations.
- Development of Individualized Development Plans: Creating tailored development plans for each employee that address their unique needs and career aspirations.
- Training Program Implementation: Designing and implementing training programs that equip staff with the necessary skills to improve their adaptability and effectiveness in their roles.
- Monitoring and Evaluation: Establishing processes to monitor the effectiveness of the strategies and training programs implemented, ensuring continuous improvement and responsiveness to staff needs.
This resource not only serves as a guide but also as a call to action for educational institutions to invest in their most valuable asset – their staff. By prioritizing professional development, schools can cultivate a motivated, capable workforce ready to meet the challenges of the future.
